The community is cordially invited to join us in celebrating the grand re-opening of the William Kilgore Playground at Nettles Park (102 Nettles Park Rd.) on April 24th, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This much-anticipated event marks the culmination of extensive renovations aimed at creating a more inclusive, safe, and fun environment for children of all ages and abilities. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
The William Kilgore Playground has been a treasured asset of Nettles Park, fostering countless memories and moments of joy. Its revitalization includes the addition of new, state-of-the-art play equipment designed to engage children in imaginative and physical play and upgraded safety features that give peace of mind to parents and guardians.
In addition to the ribbon-cutting, the grand re-opening will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including a vision casting time capsule, and yard games. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments and connect with community leaders and volunteers who have made this project possible.
