The community is cordially invited to join us in celebrating the grand re-opening of the William Kilgore Playground at Nettles Park (102 Nettles Park Rd.) on April 24th, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This much-anticipated event marks the culmination of extensive renovations aimed at creating a more inclusive, safe, and fun environment for children of all ages and abilities. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

The William Kilgore Playground has been a treasured asset of Nettles Park, fostering countless memories and moments of joy. Its revitalization includes the addition of new, state-of-the-art play equipment designed to engage children in imaginative and physical play and upgraded safety features that give peace of mind to parents and guardians.

In addition to the ribbon-cutting, the grand re-opening will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including a vision casting time capsule, and yard games. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments and connect with community leaders and volunteers who have made this project possible. This event is not just a celebration of the playground’s physical transformation but a testament to the community’s dedication to happy and healthy families.
